Coronavirus Covid-19 Updates

Due to CORONAVIRUS we have made a number of changes:

We are continuing to prefer telehealth appointments. However, we can offer face to face consultations if you do not have any respiratory or other symptoms of COVID infection.

Telehealth consults are usually privately charged. Your doctor will discuss this with you at the beginning of the consult. Please note your doctor will call you at the nominated appointment time or as close to this time as possible. Please be available to take the call and be in a private, quiet area. The call MAY be from a “NO CALLER ID”.

If a FACE to FACE appointment is necessary and you have symptoms, no matter how minor, of fever, cough, runny nose, sore throat, shortness of breath or diarrhoea, you will need a negative COVID-19 PCR test within the previous 3 days. You can find your nearest COVID-19 testing clinic here. Please call reception on 8303 2900 so we can assess your needs and allocate you a suitable appointment.

Once you have entered the practice, we ask all patients to WEAR A MASK, wash your hands using the alcohol handrub available, and PLEASE MAINTAIN social distancing while you wait.

Please do not use online bookings for emergencies or urgent medical appointments. For emergencies, please call “000” or present to your nearest Emergency Department.

Vaccination information

Fountain Street General Practice are providing COVID-19 Pfizer booster vaccines to eligible people. Due to limited supply, we are only providing vaccines to our existing patients. If you have any questions or concerns relating to COVID vaccines, please make a telehealth consultation with your usual GP prior to booking in to the COVID vaccine clinic. If you would like to receive a COVID vaccine, please call 02 8303 2900 to make a booking.
